Licorice and Water!!

No this is not a new diet I am trying! This afternoon our neighbor kids decided that they were going to sell licorice and water! Apparently a lemondade stand is a thing of the past! It was so funny I had to share it with you . They are actually standing in the street yelling "Licorice and Water for 50cents" to anyone who is driving by or outside! I have to admit it is offly tempting...if I wasnt going to a movie tonight with plans to down popcorn I would probably support their cause. Maybe the next time my kids are driving me nuts I'll try it, "hey go sell some licorice and water...or whatever treat we have on hand!" LOL! Also props to NICOLE today for starting a recipe blog.....how fun!!!

Can you help Me???

I am looking for a good buttercream frosting recipe! I have searched high and low. I have even tried Magnolias Bakery recipe...but it doesnt seem to cut it. I am sure the recipe that I found has a missing ingredient. I have a few friends with Birthdays coming up and I would love to make them some cute yummy cupcakes...I would accept chocolate or vanilla buttercream recipes! I recently went through a cake phase, but out of recipe frusteration stopped! Any help would be appreciated :) Lacey

Under the Weather???

For those of you who are Airborne skeptics.. you must give it a try! Yesterday I was pretty much on my death bed, and I started downing these bad boys and today I am pretty much completely well.

It is a pretty inexpensive way to get well. You can usually get it for around $10.00 and it is jam packed with vitamins and minerals...all the goods that your body needs when your sick!

I am not being payed anything to plug this item! So the next time you have any hint of sickness try this!

The purSUIT of happiness!

For Christmas I bought Jeff a suit. Jeff is a very hard person to buy for so when I was trying to figure out what to buy for him, I realilzed he doesnt own a suit! This may have been divine intervention.......! Of course I got the wrong size so yesterday we went to the mall and exchanged it. And got him some new church shoes and a haircut also. It made me so happy today to see him in a SUIT. I had to take a picture and make a big deal out of it. I am very sad that today Preston and I are home sick so I didnt get to go to church and sit by my handsome husband. The picture is a little fuzzy due to the fact that Jeff insisted that I take his picture by my front door.

The BIG seperation!!!

Many of you will probably be excited to know that Preston now officially sleeps in his own bed! It has been a long time coming. It seems like every time I was ready to start training him, he would get sick or we would go on a trip or something. (For those of you who dont know, I did the BIG NO NO and let my son sleep with me since birth)! I think it is equally hard on me to be seperated. The first night he cried, and cried and he kept yelling "Mommy" it broke my heart, but by the second night he slept completely through the night. This became highly necessary since my husband has been couching it for months. And when people come over in the morning and see his bed made in the living room they naturally assume marital problems.

Happy 25th Birthday to ME!!!

So today I have been on this earth 25 years!!! A quarter of a century as Jeff reminded me this morning! So aging causes reflection. Am I where I thought I would be at 25? Actually I think I am a little further than I had planned......!

I have to say my greatest accomplishment in my 25 years is becoming Preston's mommy. I say that because nothing else has brought me more joy.

I am glad to report that there is no wrinkles as of yet!

My big plans for today are to have lunch with friends and dinner with my family tonight....!

So, today I feel grateful for my past, and I look forward to the future!!!
