Show me the biggest Rock....

Sometimes when I get home from teaching my beehives on Sundays I want to go find a big rock and hide under it. Sometimes I forget being that age and feeling like what my teachers had to tell me was a waste of time. It is hard to get 12 yr old girls excited about most of the things I am supposed to teach them. Today I had to beg them for answers and participation. I know it will all be important to them someday. It just makes me crazy to think that maybe they will make some of the same mistakes I did. I look at them and see so much potential and such a bright future. Why cant they see what I see?

It's sad in a way that we just can't force them to understand, but we all have our agency. My dad used to say that we didn'y have the agency to choose wrong, because when we did, we actually lose some of our freedoms. You are doing great and I am sure they are listening even if it doesnt seem that way. See you soon!

I completely feel your frustration. Last Sunday (yesterday) I was BEGGING them to answer me- luckily the Bishop was in there and he ended up calling on people to answer. . . when he didn't answer for them. That age is so hard- plus I only have like 2 girls- so its bad!
